Why hourly-only breaks in real life
Night/weekend premiums, tips, commissions, and union dues are everyday realities for service teams. Hiding them in generic boxes hurts audits and morale.
Shift premium as a first-class earning
Enter the premium total; Schedulaa treats it as taxable, in gross, and in T4/W-2 wages. Staff see it clearly on payslips.
Tips, commissions, bonuses
Tips flow into gross and W-2/T4 wages. Commission and bonuses stay separate for reporting clarity but are fully taxable.
Union dues and simple garnishments
Union dues reduce net and map to T4 Box 44. Simple garnishments are flat deductions; remittance stays external by design.
Allowances vs reimbursements
Travel/allowances are taxable. Non-taxable reimbursements (headsets, uniforms) stay out of gross and are added only to net pay.
